Help shape the future of families, communities and wellbeing

At CCP, we believe in preventing crisis, building resilience and creating lasting change with people and communities.

For almost 40 years, we have worked alongside individuals, families and communities facing homelessness, poverty, social exclusion, family breakdown and poor wellbeing. As a values driven charity, we are committed to helping people thrive, strengthening communities and delivering services that make a genuine and lasting difference.

As we continue to grow and strengthen our impact, we are seeking an exceptional leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as the Strategic Lead for Families, Communities and Wellbeing. This role reflects our commitment to prevention; working earlier with families and communities and strengthening support before crisis takes hold.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future direction of an ambitious and respected charity while influencing systems, partnerships and services across the South West and West Midlands. The role is based on the responsibilities outlined in CCP's Strategic Lead Families, Communities and Wellbeing portfolio.

The Role

As CCP's senior subject matter expert for early help, family support, community wellbeing, prevention and asset-community development, you will help shape organisational strategy, influence commissioning and partnership agendas, and ensure our services remain evidence led, impactful and sustainable.

Working as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will:

  • Lead, develop and grow CCP's Families, Communities and Wellbeing portfolio
  • Provide strategic leadership across early help, family support and community-based services
  • Build influential relationships with local authorities, Family Hubs, schools, health partners, commissioners and funders
  • Shape future opportunities, partnerships and service models alongside our Business Development team
  • Champion co-production, lived experience and strengths based approaches
  • Lead service improvement, quality assurance and safeguarding across the portfolio
  • Ensure CCP remains at the forefront of policy, practice and innovation
  • Represent CCP locally, regionally and nationally

About You

We are looking for a strategic thinker, collaborator and influencer who combines strong professional credibility with a deep commitment to social impact.

You will bring:

  • Senior leadership experience in early help, family support, wellbeing, public health, community development or related services
  • Strong understanding of Family Help, safeguarding, prevention and multi-agency working
  • Experience of leading managers, complex services and organisation change
  • A strong track record of building successful relationships with commissioners, funders and strategic partners
  • Experience of translating policy, research and evidence into practical service delivery
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting sustainable growth
  • A genuine commitment to strengths-based practice, community empowerment and co-production

Most importantly, you will share CCP's passion for helping people thrive, and our belief that communities themselves are powerful agents of lasting change.

At CCP, you'll join an organisation where people genuinely care about the difference they make. We are offering a meaningful leadership role with significant strategic influence, with the opportunity to shape services that improve lives and strengthen communities.

CCP offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements, a supportive and values led culture and ongoing professional development, and the opportunity to work alongside talented and passionate colleagues who are committed to delivering positive social impact.

Come and join a Charity focused on people rather than profit.
