We are seeking a dynamic, imaginative storyteller with strong performance skills to join PEOPLE WHO LIVED IN THE SKIES — an enchanting family show that blends powerful narrative with expressive movement inspired by Kathak dance.

Who We are Looking For

We are looking for a performer who brings warmth, creativity, and presence to storytelling for young audiences.

Essential:

  • A confident, engaging storyteller for children and family audiences
  • Strong improvisation skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Experience in live performance (theatre, storytelling, dance, physical theatre, or similar)
  • Comfortable using voice, text, and body to tell stories
  • Warm, playful energy with a strong audience connection
  • Willingness to travel for performances (indoor and outdoor venues)
  • Availability to rehearse and perform Monday–Friday (with some weekend performances)
  • Interest in work exploring environmental and socio-economic themes.

Desirable:

  • Some knowledge of classical Indian dance and/or music
  • Confidence working with musical impulse and rhythm
  • Experience with movement-based or physically expressive performance.
