    Revive Sunderland is looking for an inspiring Store Manager to take the helm of our busy reuse store; helping us reduce waste, support our community, and generate vital funds for the charity.

    As Store Manager, you’ll shape the success of our Sunderland site by:

    What You’ll Be Doing

    As our Store Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the smooth, efficient, and profitable running of the store, including:

    Financial Leadership
    • Maximising sales and income across all revenue streams
    • Managing budgets, cash handling, banking, and financial procedures
    • Ensuring effective stock intake, processing, and rotation
    People & Resource Management
    • Recruiting, training, motivating, and developing a diverse team
    • Ensuring the store is always well-staffed and well-supported
    • Leading performance management and supporting volunteer engagement
    Store Operations
    • Maintaining exceptional standards in merchandising, layout, and housekeeping
    • Creating an organised, efficient, and customer-focused shop environment
    • Monitoring market trends, stock levels, and opportunities to boost income
    Community & Partnerships
    • Promoting Revive Sunderland through social media and community engagement
    • Building strong relationships with local authority partners and stakeholders
    • Representing the charity with professionalism, positivity, and pride
    Administration & Compliance
    • Overseeing all store administration and reporting
    • Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, HR policies, and legislative requirements
    About You

    You’ll be a confident, people-focused retail leader with:

    Essential:
    • Experience managing a fast-paced, high-volume retail store or warehouse
    • A proven record of maximising sales and improving store performance
    • Experience leading large teams (10+ staff/volunteers)
    • Excellent organisational, planning, and multitasking abilities
    • Great customer service, communication, and IT skills
    • A passion for reuse, sustainability, and charity retail
    Desirable:
    • Experience in charity retail, reuse sector, visual merchandising, or online sales
    • Knowledge of EPOS systems, Gift Aid, or waste management
    • Creative thinking and a willingness to try new approaches
    • Strong networking or business development skills
