At the Community Hospice, we believe that every person at the end of life deserves outstanding care, genuine compassion, and the best possible quality of life. Everything we do is rooted in dignity, kindness, and respect — for patients, families, and one another.
For more than 30 years, we have supported people living with life-limiting illness, including cancer, heart failure, respiratory disease, neurological conditions, and advanced dementia. Our care reaches far beyond the hospice inpatient unit, extending into people’s homes, care homes, local prisons, and hospital settings, including Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich. Working both independently and in partnership with other health and care organisations, we help people stay connected to what matters most to them.
We are now looking for a Registered Nurse to join our welcoming and highly supportive multidisciplinary team. You will be part of a service that delivers expert pain and symptom management, complex psychological support, and compassionate end-of-life care.
Compassion sits at the heart of this role. You will bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the confidence to work autonomously, prioritise a varied clinical caseload, and provide clear guidance and support to colleagues, healthcare assistants, and students within the unit.
As a reflective practitioner, you will be committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and eager to develop your skills within a specialist palliative care setting. We are proud of our strong focus on learning and development, with excellent links to local colleges and universities, alongside a robust programme of internal training and ongoing professional support.
If you are looking to work in an organisation that truly values its staff, invests in their development, and offers real opportunities for career progression, Community Hospice could be the place for you.
Join us and help make a meaningful difference every day — to patients, families, and the community we serve.
