About The Role
Applications are invited for the above positions to join the nursing team within the In-Patient Unit where you will contribute to the delivery of specialist palliative care services within Strathcarron Hospice.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced RNA Staff Nurses to strengthen the palliative care expertise within our existing nursing In-Patient Unit team.
You will be required to work shifts including nights and weekends. An example of our shift patterns are in the job pack below.
It is essential that you have highly developed skills to manage complex communication with patients, families and teams and have a passion to contribute to the development of palliative nursing practice.
About You
Applicants must have at least two years post registration experience; preferably, you will also have hospice/specialist palliative care experience, an advanced knowledge of symptom assessment and management across a range of illnesses (including non-malignant), evidence of professional development in Palliative Care and experience of managing, supporting and teaching junior staff.
The post is subject to a check by the Protecting Vulnerable Group Scheme.
All new employees will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months, during which performance and suitability for the role will be assessed.
