Sports Coordinator
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Sports Coordinator to join the Union of Brunel Students
This role plays a key part in the planning and delivery of competitive sport, ensuring that all Team Brunel clubs can successfully fulfil their fixtures and competitions throughout the year. Alongside this, you will support the development of over 40 student-led sports clubs, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging sporting experience for all students.
From coordinating weekly fixtures to delivering flagship events like Varsity, you’ll be central to keeping student sport running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead on the coordination of fixtures and competitions, ensuring all Team Brunel clubs meet their commitments and manage competition administration, including entries, registrations and use of the BUCS Play app
- Coordinate logistics for fixtures, including transport, facilities, referees and match documentation
- Support the delivery of Varsity and other major sporting events
- Work closely with student club committees to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Support the development and growth of student sports clubs and participation opportunities across diverse communities
- Build partnerships with university departments and external organisations
- Ensure activities are delivered safely and in line with policies and procedures
What is the Job?
The Sports Coordinator will ensure that Brunel students have access to a positive and engaging sport and physical activity experience. The role coordinates and manages the Union’s sports clubs, acting as the main contact for approximately 40 student-led clubs.
The post holder will support the recruitment, training and development of student committees, enabling students to participate in sport while supporting club growth and sustainability. The role will also develop partnerships and opportunities that help clubs increase membership and engage a diverse student population.
The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day operational coordination of club activity whilst ensuring union processes are adhered to.

HOURS
37 hours per week

SALARY
£28,601 inclusive of London weighting £2,508.
