Job Purpose & General Information
• The Sponsorship Assistant plays an important role in supporting the delivery of sponsor partnerships at the festival. Working closely with the Sponsorship Manager, they help ensure sponsors are well looked after and that sponsorship benefits are delivered smoothly across the festival.
• With a proactive and organised approach, the role supports the coordination of sponsor activity, communications and logistics. This includes helping manage sponsor requirements before and during the festival, assisting with branding and hospitality arrangements, and ensuring sponsors feel welcomed, valued and supported.
• The role is an integral part of the festival team and acts as a key point of contact for sponsors during the festival period, helping ensure their experience of the festival is positive, professional and well organised.
Key Responsibilities
Before the Festival
• Support in the preparation and delivery of sponsor benefits on site, assist coordinate deliveries of sponsor materials
• Act as a key point of contact for sponsors, responding promptly and professionally to enquiries.
• Help coordinate sponsor hospitality elements, such as guest lists and dietary requirements
• Assist with putting up sponsors signage, flags and pop-ups before the doors open
During the Festival
• Provide on-site support to ensure smooth sponsor relations and delivery of sponsor benefits.
• Welcome sponsors and partners at events, acting as a friendly and professional representative of the festival.
• Assist with logistical and operational tasks related to sponsor receptions, events and hospitality.
• Monitor fulfilment of sponsorship deliverables and address any issues in real-time with the team.
After the Festival
• Assist in taking down the sponsor materials, pop-ups and flags.
• Manage the Sponsor pick up point ensuring all collateral is collected.
Person Specification
Essential
• Strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, be personable with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure, especially in a busy, event-driven environment.
• A proactive and flexible attitude, with willingness to work irregular hours during the festival.
Desirable
• Previous experience in events or festivals
• Familiarity with literature/arts festivals or cultural organisations.
Pay rate: £13.45 p/h payable at the end of the term (10 June – 15 June inclusive
with an anticipated pay date of 10th July)
