About the Role
MAP is seeking to hire a Speech Therapist to support persons with disabilities by assessing speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities, and delivering appropriate therapeutic interventions. The role includes developing and implementing individualised treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions to improve communication and safe swallowing, and providing guidance to patients and their families. The Speech Therapist will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support rehabilitation outcomes and will maintain accurate patient records to ensure high-quality service delivery.
About You
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or a related field) and demonstrates knowledge of humanitarian principles and standards, including Sphere, HAP, and the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS). They will possess strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic are essential, along with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, is also required.
