Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

39,010 per year (pro rata)
CPotential, 143 Coppetts Road, London N10 1JP
Part-time
Listed today

At CPotential, we work alongside children and young people with complex physical, learning and communication needs to help them build confidence, independence and a stronger sense of what’s possible.

You’ll be part of an integrated multidisciplinary team, where therapy isn’t delivered in sequence but shaped around the child. It’s an approach that allows you to step back, see the whole picture and work closely with colleagues across disciplines to decide what will make the greatest difference, and when.

  • Permanent Contract
  • Part time hours 15 -22.5 per week (Flexible, with occasional weekend, as well as school holidays)
  • £39,010 – £46,194 per year pro rata, dependent on experience
  • 30 days annual leave per year, with 3 days to be taken around Christmas (pro rata)
  • Based at CPotential, 143 Coppetts Road, London N10 1JP

In this role, you’ll have the space to assess need and shape therapy in a way that reflects each child’s development. Together, you’ll determine the right approach, the right timing and the right combination of interventions. It’s a more joined-up and responsive way of working than many clinicians will have experienced in more traditional settings.

You’ll manage your own caseload and clinical supervision, while also supporting the development of junior staff, students and therapy assistants.

We’re looking for an experienced clinician with a recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification, registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). You’ll bring experience of assessing and supporting children with complex neurological and genetic conditions, and be confident delivering thoughtful, tailored interventions.

This role will suit someone who enjoys thinking beyond standard pathways — a therapist who is both strategic and creative in their approach, and who’s comfortable contributing not just to how therapy is delivered, but how services evolve.

You’ll play an active role in shaping and developing the service, bringing ideas and helping turn them into practice where it matters.

The role involves managing a varied caseload and working closely with families, education providers, local authorities, NHS services and voluntary sector partners. Clear communication, sound clinical judgement and a collaborative mindset will be essential.

If you’re looking for a role where you can take a more holistic view of a child’s development, and work as part of a genuinely integrated team, we’d love to hear from you.

There is no closing date for this role as we are accepting applications on a rolling basis until a successful appointment.

We look forward to hearing from you.
