Sound No. 1
The Royal Exchange Theatre is looking for Sound No 1 for their Summer 2026 production of FUN HOME, directed by Sarah Frankcom.
This role is responsible for the smooth delivery, operation, and maintenance of all sound elements throughout rehearsals, technical period, previews, and performances.
The role will work closely with the Sound Designer, Production Manager, Stage Management team, and wider technical department to ensure the highest artistic and technical standards are maintained. The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Sound No.1, have strong live mixing experience (particularly in musical theatre), be proficient with DigicoSD10T and Qlab, have experience working with radio microphone systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and strong communication skills.
