St Edmund’s College and Prep is seeking a creative and hands-on Social Media Content Creator to capture and share the energy, achievements, and daily life of our school community.
This is a practical, highly visible role, ideal for someone confident working with students and staff to produce engaging digital content.
Key Responsibilities
• Capture high-quality photo and video content across the College and Prep, including events and student activities.
• Create outstanding short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
• Edit content using Adobe, Canva, CapCut, and AI-based tools.
• Write engaging captions aligned with the College’s tone of voice.
• Schedule and publish content in line with the marketing calendar.
• Monitor performance and adapt content based on insights and trends.
• Support paid social campaigns and school events, including occasional out-of-hours work.
Person Specification
Essential
• Proven experience creating high-quality social media content, particularly short-form video.
• Strong photography, filming, editing, and copywriting skills.
• Comfortable on camera and confident building relationships with students and staff.
• Able to work at pace and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
• Experience in education or youth-focused settings.
• Knowledge of TikTok and YouTube growth.
• Understanding of social media’s role in brand reputation and student recruitment.
Applicants must provide a portfolio of recent social media work.
Whilst not in a teaching role, as Social Media Content Creator you will be working on a regular basis in a school in a role which gives opportunity for contact with children. As such, you will be in regulated activity and an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.
