JOB PURPOSE

LOCATION: Office base Brightspace,
Ipswich or Kirkley Centre, Lowestoft with
60:40 blended working

TERM: Fixed Term until December 2027

•  To act as a dedicated point of contact for applicants to the Sizewell C community fund –

providing organisational development support

•  To be an ambassador for CAS, supporting and promoting CAS’s diverse range of

products and services

•  To be a positive and flexible member of a high performing, innovative and enterprising

CAS team

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To act as a dedicated point of contact for applicants to the Sizewell C community fund –
providing organisational development support

•  To be a dedicated point of contact for all Suffolk Community Foundation Sizewell C
applicants – including providing 121 consultations, hosting networking events and
training courses

•  To support the Capacity Building Manager with funder performance monitoring &

reporting

•  To promote SCF Sizewell C funds (small & large) across the Suffolk VCFSE community

and CAS networks

•  To arrange attendance at training courses and where required to deliver specific training

to support organisational development and access to the fund

•  To engage communities in the fund and encouraging partnership working – hosting

networking and community consultation workshops

•  To support applicants understanding and development of skills to write successful

applications – including supporting fulfilment of application criteria

•  To provide applicants with project planning and business development support and

guidance – including exploring financial sustainability, community engagement, project
benefits and legacy

•  To support the development of understanding/awareness of policies and procedures –

including 121 support and signposting CAS services i.e., HealthCheck

To be an ambassador for CAS supporting and promoting CAS’s diverse range of
products and services

•  To develop and maintain an expert working knowledge about the diverse range of CAS’s

products and services and seek to raise awareness and promote these wherever

•  To be a first point of contact to share knowledge about who to turn to for support in CAS
•  To work with the wider CAS team to raise awareness of CAS’s services and activities so

they can promote our diverse range of projects to their stakeholder groups

•  To actively promote the benefits of CAS Network

CAS team

•  To work collaboratively with colleagues to find solutions to issues as they arise
•  To demonstrate and apply the CAS values in the services supplied
•  Undertake any other duties as requested by Capacity Building Manager and CAS ET

team

Qualifications
•  None specific
Knowledge, Experience and Skill

•  Excellent communication and presentation skills
•  Proven track record in developing, engaging, and maintaining
good collaborative working relationships both internally and
externally, with a diverse range of people and communities

•  Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and time

management abilities

•  Good understanding of VCFSE governance and business
planning, including legal structures, policies & procedures,
strategic planning, financial models and sustainability

•  Experience of delivering training and ability to engage learners at

different levels

•  Proven track record in securing funding from a range of sources
•  Skilled in handling data and ability to analyse and interpret to
identify key issues, including reading financial information

•  Experience of setting and working to targets within an outcomes

framework

•  Excellent working knowledge of modern IT and software

programmes

•  A willingness to learn and an appetite for professional
