Job Title: Site Manager
Job Purpose:
To be responsible for all aspects of the site management including a range of duties ensuring that the physical condition of the Charity buildings and grounds are maintained.
Salary: £29,683 Actual for 32.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Reports to: Senior Leadership Team and the HR and Business Operations Manager
Hours: Maximum of 32.5 hours per week/ hours can be negotiable All Year Round
Annual leave: 25 days plus public holidays
Key responsibilities and duties of the role include, but are not confined to the following:
- Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds
- To source parts and materials for jobs and collect when required
- To monitor the day to day maintenance of the buildings and grounds by undertaking regular maintenance checks
- To advise the Senior Leadership Team and the HR and Business Operations Manager of major work or site issues that are required and will impact on the budget
- Obtain quotations from contractors for major work prior to commencement of any work and approval from the Senior Leadership Team
- To liaise with external contractors with regards to work required
- Supervise external contractors whilst on the site
- Carry out statutory Health and Safety testing on aspects of the site in accordance with a planned schedule
- Receive deliveries on site and distribute as required
- To undertake training appropriate to the current or future demands of the post
Charity Duties
- Work as a member of a team while accepting the additional responsibilities of the post
- Ensure all works carried out are completed with due observance to the appropriate Health and Safety at Work’ requirements
- Undertake fire marshal training and carry out fire marshal duties
General
- To undertake appropriate continuing professional development and regular appraisals to ensure you are fully up to date with current practice and procedures.
- Work as a member of a team while accepting the additional responsibilities of the post.
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Participate in fund-raising events
- Help to establish the Charity in the daily life of the community
- Ensure that the Health and Safety policies are observed at all times
- Undertake other duties as required in keeping with the purpose of this post

- Proven knowledge and experience of building maintenance.

- A commitment to delivering high quality services .
- An ability to communicate effectively.
Desirable
- Experience of working in the public sector or voluntary organisations.
- A working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- First Aid
Additional requirements
- To fulfil the duties of this post a current driving licence, access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance is essential.
