Safeguarding Responsibilities:

Job Purpose:
To generate income for the Charity by assisting the shop supervisor in the day to day running of the charity shop and promoting the aims of the charity to the local community.
Key Job Role Responsibilities and Main Tasks:

Selling donated items in the shop to generate income for the charity

Ensuring the highest standards of customer service are always met
-
Deal sympathetically with and provide information to members of the public, where necessary directing those in need of further sources of help
-
Assist in the day-to-day operation of the shop, ensuring the highest standards of shop appearance are met, while ensuring that new stock is put on display frequently.

Help all other members of staff and volunteers where necessary.

Assist with regular social media content to advertise shop and products.

Provide cover for staff as necessary and as directed by the Head of Retail

Assist in managing the upkeep and security of the premises and in emergency situations liaise with the shop supervisor or Head of Retail for any emergency repairs

Be aware of and help maintain all Health & Safety issues in the shop in accordance with St George’s Crypt policies and procedures

Assist in managing the movement, security and accounting of cash in accordance with the St George’s Crypt policies and procedures

Update the shop supervisor and Head of Retail on all aspects of shop operations that occur while the supervisor is absent, including, but not restricted to, staff, property, security and health & safety.

Ensure all administrative tasks required by St George’s Crypt or delegated by the shop supervisor are completed correctly and on time.
