Job Role and Purpose
As  a  Sessional  Trainer/Facilitator  at  CLEAR,  you  will  support  the  Charity’s  vision,
mission and objectives through delivering high-quality training that strengthens skills
development in the workforce, develops a wider understanding of trauma, abuse and
safeguarding,  supports  positive  emotional  wellbeing  and  contributes  to  sustainable
systemic change.

You will deliver accredited, non-accredited and bespoke training to a wide range of
audiences, from business to schools, from community groups to practitioners in the
counselling professions. You will be excited to explore and understand the difference
that your work makes for communities,  workplaces, individuals and the people they
support.

You  will  support  CLEAR’s  drive  for  continuous  improvement  and  excellence  in
delivery,  contributing  your  professional  knowledge,  skills  and  lived  experience  to

improve and expand our training offer. In doing this, you will also be contributing to the
CLEAR’s  wider  delivery  through  income  generation  that  can  be  reinvested  in  our
therapeutic services.

We are looking for a person who has worked confidently with both adults and children
in educational or training environments and who is motivated to develop their skills in
line with CLEAR’s mission and values. Delivery hours for this role are flexible based
on need and will increase as our training services develop and grow.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery of Training:
You will work closely with the Training & Professional Development Lead, with an initial
focus on delivering courses and workshops in areas including:
•  Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
•  Understanding Trauma
•  Positive Emotional Wellbeing & Resilience
•  CLEAR Bespoke courses
You will:
•  Work collaboratively with colleagues and trainees to deliver effective and engaging

learning experiences

•  Prepare and manage training resources for each course
•  Support the evaluation and continuous improvement of training delivered
•  Carry out course-related administration and record keeping

Development of Training
You will contribute to the growth and evolution of CLEAR’s training offer by:
•  Supporting the development of new training programmes that respond to identified

need and gaps

•  Supporting or leading the creation of written, digital, and virtual learning resources

General Duties:
•  Undertake  additional  tasks  where  required  to  ensure  the  training  service  runs

effectively and is well managed

This role may be reviewed and amended by agreement to reflect the evolving needs
of service users, the organisation, and funding.

Person Specification: Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Essential
A minimum Level 3 training/teaching
qualification.

3 years prior experience of delivery of training,
workforce development or schools/early years
courses
Experience of delivering training in the context
of mental health and/or emotional wellbeing

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to communicate to a variety of
audiences in a clear, confident and inspiring
way
Experience of delivering training online through
Microsoft Teams and Zoom

Excellent planning, organisation and
prioritisation skills, with ability to consistently
meet deadlines
Experience of working effectively alone or with
another trainer(s)
Excellent IT skills including the full Microsoft
Office Suite. Knowledge of connectivity
between devices, including display and sound
settings.

Desirable
Counselling Skills L2 or other
counselling qualification

Knowledge and understanding of
working in a charity

A solid understanding of mental health,
trauma, abuse and their impacts

Experience of evaluating the quality
and impact of training

Experience of undertaking
assessments/reviewing and marking
work
Leadership, management or
administration qualification

Experience of collaborating to develop
new training products
Experience of using a range of
systems for both administration and
delivery of training
