Salary: £37,869 per annumHours: Full time, 37.5 hours per weekLocation: Multi‑site (3 services)
About the role
We are looking for an experienced and confident Service Manager or a confident and experienced Deputy Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career to lead and oversee three services, managing approximately 1,000 commissioned hours across a workforce of around 45 staff, supported by one Deputy Manager working across the services.
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for delivering high‑quality, person‑centred support while ensuring services are safe, compliant, financially sustainable, and well‑led.
Key responsibilities
As Service Manager, you will:
- Provide strong leadership and operational oversight across three services
- Be accountable for around 1,000 commissioned support hours
- Line manage and develop a staff team of approximately30colleagues, with direct management of a Deputy Manager
- Ensure services consistently meet regulatory, contractual, and organisational standards
- Drive quality improvement, embedding person‑centred practice across all services
- Manage budgets, rotas, and staffing levels to ensure safe and efficient service delivery
- Build effective relationships with commissioners, families, and key stakeholders
- Lead on recruitment, induction, supervision, and performance management
- Prepare services for inspections and respond effectively to any action plans
About you
You will be:
- An experienced manager or deputy manager within health and social care, ideally with multi‑service or large‑scale operational responsibility
- Confident managing significant spans of control, including commissioned hours and staffing levels
- Knowledgeable about regulatory requirements and best practice in supported living / care services
- A strong people leader, able to motivate, develop, and support managers and staff teams
- Organised, resilient, and confident making decisions in a fast‑paced environment
- Committed to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred outcomes
