Services Coordinator

Location: Iraqi Community Association
Salary: £ 30,000
Contract: Full-time (35 hours/week)

 The Iraqi Community Association in Britain is a community-led charity supporting Iraqi & Arabic speaking individuals and families across the UK. We provide advice, advocacy, and community services, while promoting integration, wellbeing, and cultural connection.

 The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Services Coordinator to lead our day-to-day operations and support the strategic direction of the organisation.

 You will work closely with the Management Committee to ensure high-quality, inclusive services that respond to the evolving needs of the Iraqi community. This is a key leadership role, combining operational management and community engagement.

 Key Responsibilities

·       Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of community services

·       Manage staff and volunteers, ensuring effective support, supervision, and development

·       Oversee office operations, systems, and resources to ensure efficiency and compliance

·       Implement Management Committee decisions and contribute to strategic planning

·       Build partnerships with statutory, voluntary, and community organisations

·       Promote the organisation’s work and strengthen its profile

·       Support fundraising activities and the development of sustainable income streams

·       Ensure services are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to community needs

·       Maintain strong governance, safeguarding, equality and diversity & inclusion

 About You

You will be a motivated and organised professional with a passion for community development and supporting diverse communities.

 You will bring:

·       Experience in the voluntary or community sector

·       Knowledge of UK health, welfare, or community services

·       Strong leadership and people management skills

·       Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

·       A strong commitment to safeguarding and EDI principles

·       Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (Iraqi dialect)

·       Experience in the use of IT packages.
