About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Service Administrator to join our Children's Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative and financial support, helping ensure the smooth and effective delivery of services.
This is a varied role where you'll play a key role in supporting three Advocacy teams in the South West and Jersey.
Key Responsibilities
🗂️ Administration
- Manage service user referrals and maintain accurate records
- Support access to records and information sharing with external agencies
- Maintain documentation and information systems in line with organisational policies
- Assist with staff induction and training related to administrative processes
💷 Financial & Budget Support
- Process invoices and ensure income is recorded, receipted, and banked accurately
- Manage staff and volunteer expenses in line with policy
- Prepare audit information and financial reports
- Assist with budget preparation and ongoing monitoring
- Track income and expenditure against budgets and forecasts
- Undertake payroll reconciliation checks as required
🔒 Compliance & Systems
- Produce reports from service user and financial data for internal and external use
- Support health and safety responsibilities and maintain records
🤝 General Support
- Support frontline service delivery through effective administration
- Support and manage administration volunteers
- Ensure the service is equipped with necessary supplies and equipment
- Undertake additional duties as required by line management
About You
We are seeking someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing administrative and financial processes
- Able to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
- Experienced in handling sensitive and confidential information
- A strong communicator with good interpersonal skills
