Senior Youth Worker – Spectrum Youth Club, Tadcaster
We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Youth Worker to lead our Spectrum Youth Club in Tadcaster.
Spectrum is a welcoming and inclusive youth club for young people aged 14–25 with additional needs. The club provides opportunities for young people to socialise, develop independence, build confidence, and learn new skills in a safe and supportive environment.
As Senior Youth Worker, you will take the lead in planning and delivering engaging youth work sessions, ensuring activities are fun, meaningful, and responsive to the needs and interests of the young people who attend. You will support and coordinate volunteers, oversee safeguarding and health and safety, manage risk assessments, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the club.
You will build positive relationships with young people, helping them develop social, emotional, and life skills while creating an environment where they feel valued, respected, and able to thrive.
Salary: £30,654 per annum pro rata (£15.72 per hour)
About the club
Spectrum currently runs fortnightly on Monday evenings. We hope to increase this to weekly sessions in the future as our volunteer team grows, providing even more opportunities for young people to access support, activities, and social connections.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young people, particularly those with additional needs
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- Can confidently lead youth work sessions and support a team of volunteers
- Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently
- Holds, or is willing to work towards, a Level 2 Youth Work qualification
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people while working as part of a supportive and passionate team.
