Instructing and Knowledge Transfer • Deliver a high standard of instruction and tuition to yachting students both ashore and afloat. • Mentor and coach, all instructional staff on a day-to-day basis, implementing staff CPD. • Performance mentor allocated students for the duration of their course at scheduled sessions. Training Course Development • Development, updating and production of course materials. • Working alongside all course managers to assist in course development. • Contributing new ideas and improvements to develop current courses and operational systems. • Undertake bespoke tasks and projects to support the department as required. Management & Responsibilities • Deliver an operationally focused Instructor in Charge (‘IC’) role for all Yachting activities. (See separate JD) • Participating in day and evening IC duties; including staff meetings and taking overall responsibility for all activities afloat and ashore. • Undertake inspections afloat and ashore ensuring accurate and timely documentation. • Working as part of the operational team to deliver training as required ensuring accurate and timely documentation. • Assisting with student communication. • Skippering the Farr 65’s to ensure the safe operation and care of the vessel. Customer focus • Complete all set tasks and duties, ensuring they are delivered within the allocated resources, and always providing a strong customer focus.
