FitzRoy Supported Living in Stalham provides care and support for six adults with learning disabilities and autism. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team.

This is an excellent opportunity to combine hands-on support with leadership responsibilities in a rewarding, person-centred environment.

Vacancy Details

  • Full-time and part-time positions available – guaranteed hours

  • £13.35 per hour – 37.5 hours, 5 days per week

  • Day shifts only

  • Flexibility required, including alternate weekends

  • Full Manual Driving Licence essential(you will drive accessible vehicles)

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will continue delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the Service Manager and Deputy Manager in a supervisory capacity.

You will lead by example, promote best practice, and support the team to deliver exceptional outcomes aligned with FitzRoy’s values.

Key Responsibilities

Person-Centred Support

  • Provide tailored support, including personal care and daily living tasks

  • Enable choice, independence, and community participation

  • Support people to achieve their goals and aspirations

  • Ensure outcomes are recorded and support plans are reviewed and updated

Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead shifts and allocate tasks effectively

  • Act as first point of contact for day-to-day staff queries

  • Support staff through coaching, guidance, and informal training

  • Conduct Support & Development meetings and return-to-work interviews

  • Support inductions for new, bank, and agency staff

Quality, Compliance & Oversight

  • Complete audits and support action plans for improvement

  • Oversee medication processes, stock control, and audits

  • Monitor compliance with Health & Safety, incident reporting, and finance procedures

  • Maintain accurate records using digital systems

  • Promote a positive, open and safe culture within the team

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism

  • Demonstrates confidence in leading and role modelling good practice

  • Is organised, proactive and solution-focused

  • Promotes teamwork and high standards

  • Is flexible and reliable

  • Holds a Full Manual Driving Licence
