Location – Oasis Secure School – Rochester (Kent)
Hours – 37.5 per week
Working Pattern – Monday to Friday (possible occasional evenings when needed)
Salary – £27,000 per annum
Contract – Fixed Term (18 months)

Open Road provides drug and alcohol treatment services and offender support services across Essex & Kent including a range of structured interventions that deliver mentoring, advice and relapse prevention programmes. What is the role?
The young person’s substance misuse senior worker will work as part of an integrated service model in partnership with Oasis and Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (C & NWL) to deliver the substance misuse element to the young people in custody. This will involve the delivery of a range of planned and unplanned interventions and programmes that engage with the use of drugs and alcohol and the substance misuse as a component of risk -taking behaviour and promoting health and emotional wellbeing. In addition, to supervise staff and ensure that the service is delivered in line with the contractual requirements and service specification.

What you need
- To lead by example in the develop of relationships and to work in partnership with healthcare providers and community agencies to develop and sustain effective and comprehensive treatment referral pathways to ensure delivery of a comprehensive service to all young people.
- To manage the service in accordance with contractual requirements, service model and key performance indicators, taking action where performance is below the expected standards.
- To maintain accurate records of interventions /events with young people accurate IT data/ activity outcomes are inputted onto the relevant database application and ensure recording systems are maintained to the required level by staff.
- To identify areas of service improvement and development: supporting the Medway Service Manager to implement any relevant changes to processes or procedures.
- To facilitate appropriate and effective young people’s consultation, feedback, and involvement in all your work to ensure effective communication regarding improvement of services.
