£31,797 - £33,494 per year

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Service Charge Officer to join our Service Charge Accounting team. Based in Worcester, you will be working withing a wider team of 30 people. As a Senior Finance Officer, you will predominantly be responsible for supporting the reconciliation of accounts to ensure income and expenditure is appropriately accounted for, whilst also ensuring data is accurately recorded. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and will come from a finance background with excellent data analysis skills.
The role of Senior Finance Officer will include:
- Providing accurate and timely financial information whilst maintaining effective financial systems, to support decision making and business planning
- Supporting the reconciliation of accounts to ensure income/expenditure is appropriately accounted for and data accurately recorded identifying any potential issues for resolution
- Communicating effectively and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Identifying areas for improvement and shortfalls in service delivery and recommending actions to remedy this, as appropriate
- Supporting and assisting the wider Service Charge Team
Skills and experiences:
- High level of numeracy and literacy equivalent to GCSE grade C in English and Maths
- AAT part/fully qualified, or equivalent level of qualification or working towards
- Previous experience in a similar transactional finance role along with strong analytical skills is essential
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work loads
- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills allowing you to negotiate effectively
- Outstandingly organised with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications with knowledge of income systems is advantageous

- Effective 1st April role salary is £28,646 with an additional policy allowance of £3,151 per annum (rising to £30,175 with an additional policy allowance of £3,319 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
