As a Senior Theatre Nurse / Practitioner at The Holly Hospital, you’ll be registered with either the NMC or HCPC and will also be qualified as a Surgical First Assistant (SFA) with extensive experience in Orthopaedics.
You will bring a passion for high standards in perioperative care, a meticulous eye for detail and have experience in actively assisting the surgeon during procedures. You’re a focused, flexible and motivated leader.
As a Senior Theatre Nurse/Practitioner, you will:
- Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to call out and report safety concerns.
- Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff (in full compliance with all policies and procedures)
- Support governance activity, ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health’s Quality governance framework and national standards, e.g. CQC/HIW/HIS Regulation, fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence-based guidelines.
- Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, friends and representatives with kindness, dignity, respect and compassion and support them to cope emotionally with their care, treatment or condition.
- Collaborate with other clinicians within the Hospital, building strong working relationships that enhance patient care and service delivery.
- Take charge of a theatre, co-ordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners

Overtime
For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you’ll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.
