About the role
The Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for leading the design recommendations, configuration, development and system testing of salesforce.com related digital transformation projects. You will be required to design appropriate solutions for new projects as they arise and work alongside third parties as appropriate to deliver successful implementations that provide services to members, supporters and beneficiaries of the RAF Association. The post also requires you to lead and mentor a team to ensure development standards are delivered in line with the Associations digital transformation strategic objectives. Primary Responsibilities include
Lead the inhouse development team to deliver Salesforce digital transformation projects.
Work with the CRM Business Analyst to lead the transformation of business requirements into Salesforce implementations and customisations.
Create and maintain Reports and Dashboards.
Develop Salesforce community portals, managing portal users, managing and building lightning portal components & lightning apps for both mobile and desktop applications.
Maintain and demonstrate compliance with all written policies and change management controls.
Configure and maintain “sandbox” environments to facilitate successful development and QA testing of new on-demand features and functionality.
Undertake Release Management tasks required to promote tested functionality from sandbox into a production environment.
Develop and implement training for users.
Logging and tracking identified system problems through to resolution.
Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials for users as database applications are developed.
About you
A Salesforce Developer qualification is essential for this role (for example ADM 201 certified, DEV401 or Platform Developer 1& 2) along with extensive Salesforce.com system design and configuration experience. You will be comfortable working with Apex Classes, Triggers, Visualforce and ETL tools such as APEX Dataloader and have extensive experience of workflows and customisations to support Salesforce functional capability. Previous experience of leading a Salesforce development team is essential along with the ability to translate complex information to a range of stake holders and system users.
