The RoleAs a Senior Support Worker, you’ll model emotionally intelligent practice, guide your team through complex situations, and keep safeguarding at the heart of every decision. Strong communication skills, clear professional boundaries, and the ability to build trusting relationships are essential. This is a hands-on role that demands empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to reflective practice - while offering the reward of making a genuine difference in young lives. - Leading shifts and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Supporting and mentoring Support Workers and Waking Night staff
- Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
- Promoting best practice and professional development across the team
- Organising meaningful activities that promote joy, learning, and growth
- Maintaining high standards of documentation and safeguarding
- Minimum 1 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
- QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (In line with Ofsted requirements)
- Commitment to working a shift pattern including sleep in duties + overtime
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in CAMHS or mental health nursing
- 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
