About the role:

The Senior Regional Fundraiser is responsible for delivering sustainable net income across a fundraising region in line with fundraising strategy.

The post holder plays a key role in acquiring, developing and stewarding supporters, businesses, community groups and volunteers, through a relationship-fundraising approach to grow income and engagement. Working closely with the Regional Fundraising Manager, the role supports regional planning, budgeting, forecasting and mitigation through effective use of data insight.

As a senior member of the Regional Team, the role provides leadership, cover and support across two hospice-based teams, role modelling our organisational values and collaborative working.
The fundraiser contributes to the delivery of key income streams, including events, philanthropy and partnerships, working alongside national and regional colleagues.

Through excellent supporter care, compliant practice and flexible cross-team collaboration, the Senior Regional Fundraiser drives net income and supports the long-term sustainability and reputation of Sue Ryder.

About you:

• Experience of using a fundraising CRM to manage activity.
• Experience of data insight to identify risks, opportunities and trends, informing plans.
• Knowledge of regulation in fundraising.
• Experience of forming, nurturing and maintaining relationships within local communities including individuals, groups and associations to deliver growth in income.
• An excellent networker, capable of developing relationships with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Essential Criteria
• Experience of successfully delivering fundraising strategy.
• Experience of leading growth of net income across a variety of income streams including corporate, in memory, events (third-party and staff led) high value (£5k+), community groups and volunteer-led activity.
• Experience supporting with the development and management of budgets, reforecasts and financial reporting.
• An understanding of line management responsibilities, team working, building a collaborative culture.
