Could you be our new Senior Proposals Manager and help shape the future of high-value fundraising across the UK? Do you relish the challenge of crafting exciting fundraising propositions? Are you an exceptional communicator with a strategic mindset?

If so, then we might have the role for you….

A day in the life of our Senior Proposals Manager

You’ll lead our UK Proposals team—the creative and strategic engine behind securing major funding for our vital work in the United Kingdom.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Proposals and Grants, the UK operations teams and the UK proposals sub-team to provide expert bespoke and off the shelf content for our Philanthropy and Partnership fundraisers. You’ll lead the development of compelling proposals, cases for support and reports that bring our UK programmes to life. Your propositions and writing will help unlock vital funding that supports people facing crisis across the UK—where every four hours, our people respond to an emergency.

A key component of your day is collaboration. You'll work closely with fundraisers and various teams across the directorate to ensure our proposals are of the highest accuracy and quality. You’ll work to embed a culture of collaboration, connectivity and curiosity- helping the team forge strong internal relationships as trusted subject matter experts.

You'll be a central figure in our restricted fundraising efforts. You’ll act as a focal point for UK operations teams to understand our fundraising ambitions, ensuring we can maximise the impact of multi-year, transformational partnerships.

You’ll also be responsible for sharing insights, learnings, and updates across the team, ensuring that processes are fit for purpose and that the team remains informed and aligned.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is a strategic thinker, can connect complex concepts and find creative solutions.
  • Has a deep understanding of the high-value fundraising landscape and how to meet funder needs.
  • Is a strong copywriter and can distil complicated information into persuasive, audience-focused content.
  • Has a growth mindset and can lead and manage a team to achieve great things.

What you’ll bring to the role…

  • An in-depth knowledge of fundraising. A strong understanding of the needs of different high value donors including one or more of institutions, corporates, trusts and foundations and/or major donors. It would be a bonus if this experience was in humanitarian causes.
  • Ability to lead and inspire your team to strive for excellence in their work.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and stakeholder management skills. The ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and successfully negotiate to influence positive change.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. The ability to proactively seek and pursue solutions to challenges.
  • Excellent written communication skills. Able to bring together complex information in a compelling way that is tailored for different funding audiences.

Interested? Closing date is 23.59 on Wednesday 26th March 2026. Interviews will take place soon after.

In return for your commitment and expertise, you’ll get:

  • Flexible working:Remote and hybrid working, flexitime, compressed hours, and job sharing.
  • Holidays:36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + option to buy 5 extra days.
  • Pension scheme:Up to 6% contributory pension.
