Job Introduction

A great opportunity has arisen within the Production department of Tate Publishing for the role of Senior Production Controller. We are a small yet busy team and the role will cover all production aspects of exhibition catalogues, trade and children’s books - in order to ensure that they are produced to a high standard, within budget and on time.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To handle all the various production stages of individual titles from initial costings to delivery of bound books
  • To negotiate with repro houses and printers on costs and performance
  • To pursue high standards of reproduction and good quality/colour control. To travel to repro houses and printers for colour proofing and press passing as the situation demands
  • To create and maintain agreed schedules; to inform and advise where they are in danger of slipping
  • To liaise with artists, estates, designers and curators as the occasion arises. And daily with other internal departments
  • To keep production of each title within agreed budget.

About the Role

  • This is a full-time, fixed-term role for a period of 12 months
