Senior Finance Manager

Hours:  22.5 hours per week

Salary : £38,000 -£ 42,000 FTE

Location:   We  operate  a flexible working policy, including voluntary working from
home arrangements. This role  will be formally based at  The Factory, Leat Street,
Tiverton EX16 5LL  and will typically be  expected to work from our  Tiverton  office  at
least  1 day per week.

Key Relationships

Key Areas of Responsibility

1.  Treasury and  Investment Management

•  Treasury management to maximise returns
•  Monitor endowment investments and provide calculations and support in

2.  Bookkeeping  and Management Accounts

•  Supervise  monthly  bank reconciliation
•  Supervise  production of annual

3.  Annual Accounts

•  Prepare statutory accounts, working with the CEO to ensure income and

costs are  allocated  accurately across SORP categories

information for audit and liaise with auditors in the conduct of the annual
audit process

•  Support th e CEO  in the preparation of the annual budget and cash flow

forecast

•  Ensure we meet requirements for Companies House, the Charity

Commission and HMRC

4.  Other Work Required

•  Provide supportive line management to the finance team
•  Attend  DCF events as  requested, including very  occasionally,  evenings
•  Any other reasonable duties as requested

Person Specification

-  Skills,  Knowledge  and Experience

Required

Ideally at least  3 years’ experience in a  similar role

•
•  Minimum of AAT Level 4, preferably ACA/ACCA or equivalent
•  Experience of accounting software, especially
•  Experience of working with databases and Office 365
•  Knowledge of charity finance  and SORP changes
•  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•  Able to work under own initiative but also able to request support when
