We are looking to recruit ambitious, skilled, and committed doctors to join our HEMS team at Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (Coventry Airport) and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (Nottingham Heliport).
Successful applicants will work as part of the doctor-critical care paramedic (+/- pilot) team providing 24/7 pre-hospital critical care on both our air ambulance and rapid response car platforms.
TAAS is a registered training site for the West Midlands PHEM Training Programme, and many of our doctors are examiners for the FPHC FIMC examinations or have achieved Level 8 accreditation, enabling us to provide high quality educational and career support. This post will also provide experience in pre-hospital audit and research, service development, clinical governance and multi-disciplinary education. Funded places are available at the IBPTHEM Phase 1a course and a cadaveric surgical skills course for all full-time doctors.
Positions are available for 12 months (starting November 2026 â May 2027). Appointment to these posts is the equivalent grade of a Specialist Registrar but does not confer a National Training Number. The post is ideal as an Out of Programme Experience or post-CCT opportunity.
