About the role
We’re looking for a strategic senior data marketing analyst to join the Data and insights team at the Macular Society.
The role will deliver high-quality reporting, analysis and insight that informs fundraising, strengthens service delivery and supports organisational decision-making. Working collaboratively across the charity, you’ll create dashboards, visualisations and data models in Power BI, while managing our reporting data warehouse to ensure a reliable single source of truth.
By interrogating data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, you’ll produce clear, accurate reports and help colleagues better understand and use their data. As a data ambassador, you’ll champion our value of ‘Knowing Our Stuff’ and ensure insight drives meaningful impact across the Society.
As our senior data marketing analyst, you will:
- Champion a data-driven culture, supporting our value of ‘Knowing Our Stuff.’
- Produce high-quality reports and dashboards to meet organisation-wide data needs.
- Analyse and interrogate data using tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Report Builder to identify trends, issues and opportunities.
- Create accurate internal and external reports that inform decisions and highlight areas for further exploration.
- Maintain the reporting data warehouse and support teams to understand and use their data effectively.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Strong quantitative analysis skills, able to summarise data, identify trends, highlight weaknesses, and present insights visually.
- Expertise in Excel, Power BI, and familiarity with Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Experience producing accurate, high-quality reports and managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
- Skilled at supporting and building confidence in colleagues less familiar with data, empowering them to use insights effectively.
- Knowledge of databases and case management systems, with an ability to organise and report on data clearly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a flexible, collaborative team player.
