The Vacancy

Role Name: Senior Creative Lead

Salary: £44k - £47k (depending on experience) 

Location: Remote with 1-2 days per month travel to face to face meetings in London and surrounding areas (expenses covered) 

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)

Contract: Permanent

We’re looking for a Senior Creative Lead to shape, elevate, and innovate all creative output across Help for Heroes ensuring our content is powerful, consistent, and rooted in purpose.

About the Role

As our Senior Creative Lead, you will oversee and guide all creative output across the organisation. You’ll be the strategic and creative force behind our multi‑channel content - from social to video, print, radio, TV, and influencer‑led campaigns - ensuring every touchpoint feels consistent, impactful and aligned to our mission.

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of videographers, copywriters, designers and our Content and Production Managers, helping them deliver their best work while ensuring we push boundaries, embrace innovation, and build a powerful bank of evergreen assets that maximise efficiency and influence.

What you’ll do

  • Own the creative and content strategy, ensuring it aligns with organisational goals, our brand platform and audience needs.
  • Lead and inspire an in‑house creative team, championing fresh ideas and high‑quality storytelling that drives engagement.
  • Provide creative direction for all major campaigns such as Remembrance and Armed Forces Day.
  • Use performance insight and audience data to refine and improve creative effectiveness.
  • Work closely with teams across the organisation to create unified, impactful content across every channel.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Significant experience leading creative teams to deliver high impact content.
  • Strong understanding of how to build successful content across multiple channels (TV, Social, Print, radio etc).
  • Confident using audience insight, data, and performance metrics to guide creative decisions.
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with experience commissioning agencies.
  • A portfolio that shows creative judgment, innovation, and work that moves people to act.

Experience in the charity sector, animation, emerging content formats, or customer journey mapping is a bonus.

About the team

This role sits within our Brand and Marketing Team at Help for Heroes. You will lead, support and mentor a multidisciplinary team of videographers, copywriters, graphic designers, production and content managers to deliver standout content. The role will work closely with our Senior Brand Manager to ensure our content is aligned with our brand platform.
