We are looking for a Senior Childcare Practitioner to join our team here in Portlethen.
Our Hillside Breakfast And Out of School Club provides high quality care before and after school from Hillside Primary School. The Club is open before and after school and throughout the school holidays helping parents to stay in employment or education.

This is a part time role of 23.75 hours per week with a salary of £13.23 per hour.

Your qualifications and experience:

We are looking for a qualified Senior Childcare Practitioner to come and work in our breakfast & after school club. Ideal candidates will be qualified to SVQ3/HNC level or above and have a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience working with children.

Hours of work:

This is a part time post working 23.75 hours per week.

Monday-Friday 7:30am-9am and 2:45pm-6pm with increased hours during holiday periods.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality childcare for children; they will be expected to support the Service Manager and the existing team and organise each session. Duties will include caring for school aged children before, after school and during the holidays in a school environment, preparing and serving snacks, setting up and carrying out activities, general tidying and cleaning, maintaining quality assurance processes including monitoring and audits and creating and implementing the weekly planning along with the children

Our Breakfast and Out of School Club operates at Hillside Primary School and has been designed to meet the needs of the children and families that use it. The service provides children with a unique learning experience before and after school and throughout the school holidays and is part of the charity Flexible Childcare Services Scotland (FCSS). At Hillside Breakfast & After School Club we will strive to provide high quality care in a unique environment where all children can flourish; physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. The Club is open before and after school and throughout the school holidays helping parents to stay in employment or education. The club is also available to children from other schools.
