This role within the Millennium Seed Bank’s training team will provide administrative support for trainees, science visitors and training courses. Responsibilities will include managing training bookings, maintaining a contact database, making travel arrangements for trainees and administering invoices and fees, using finance management software.  The postholder will identify and share with science education colleagues best practice for the effective administration of training.

Expert in the use of Microsoft applications, and with recent experience of working in an administrative role, the postholder will have proven ability to work both as part of a team and independently as required, and will demonstrate excellent organisational skills and a professional approach. They will have experience in procurement of services and products, strong numerical skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience within a training and education team in a scientific organisation would be desirable. Experience of using virtual learning platforms for the management and delivery of training would also be an advantage.

Interviews are due to take place on 18 May.

This role is based at Wakehurst with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

The salary for this position is £29,692 per annum (pro rata) [Band B]
