SCHOOL MINIBUS DRIVER (Term time only, Fixed for one year) Sept 2026

Reporting to: The Bursar

Cumnor House Sussex is looking to appoint a reliable, professional and caring School Minibus Driver to transport our pupils safely to and from school during the morning and afternoon school runs, Monday to Friday, term time only (34 weeks). If you are a dependable driver who enjoys working with children and would like to become part of our welcoming school community, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Key requirements of the role include:

The successful candidate will have:

A full driving license preferably with a Cat D1 entitlement and an excellent driving record

The ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations.

A minimum age of 21 years old

You should have, or be prepared to take, a suitable First Aid qualification;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues while helping to create a happy, safe and respectful atmosphere on the minibus.

A positive, flexible and good-humoured approach.

Hours of work:

For the following working pattern:

Full role: 20 hours per week, plus additional overtime opportunities as required for Cumnor Sports matches, Cumnor day trips or for other local public primary schools as part of our community outreach in sport, science and drama.

Morning start: 6.15 am

Afternoon start: 4.15pm

Salary: £12,290
