We are looking to appoint a School Estates and Maintenance Technician. This role is divided seasonally between the Grounds and Maintenance teams, and flexibility will be required to provide additional support to each department as needed.

From early April through to the end of September, you will work primarily within the Grounds Department as a Gardener. Your hours during this period will be 7.30am to 4.45pm.

From early October through to the end of March, your time will be shared across both departments. You will predominantly carry out gardening duties from 7.30am to 11.30am each morning, with the remainder of the day focused on Maintenance responsibilities.

Terms of Appointment
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed, and written documentation will be recorded. Any gaps in employment history will be fully investigated. Safer recruitment procedures are followed, and members of the Senior Management Team are accredited by the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership/NSPCC for recruitment. Child protection awareness is integral to the induction programme for new members of staff. Following acceptance of an offer of appointment, a formal contract of employment will be drawn up. The following notes provide guidance, without prejudice, on the likely main provisions of the agreement.

Hours: Full-time.
Salary: £26,000-£31,000.
