About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join the team at our Lee-on-the-Solent charity shop on a 16-hour per week contract.
You will play a key role in supporting the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop, helping to deliver excellent customer service, maintain high standards of visual merchandising and housekeeping, and maximise retail income to support the vital work of Rowans Hospice.
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, community focused and passionate about providing an outstanding customer experience. A flexible approach is essential, as you will also be asked to provide additional cover for annual leave and other absences when required.
Please note that this role involves regular manual handling, including heavy lifting, due to the nature of the shop and donated goods.
As the role includes key holder responsibilities, applicants must be 18 years of age or over.
About You
You will:
- Be friendly, approachable and customer focused.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
- Be flexible and willing to provide additional cover when needed.
- Be able to undertake manual handling, including lifting and moving donated items.
