RS Schools’ Support Director – USA & Canada

Round Square is seeking to appoint a new SSD to promote and support schools’ development of Round Square themes and programmes, and coordinate collaboration between schools, across the USA and Canada.
Based in within the Americas Region, the successful applicant will have a background in education/ teaching and an understanding of the varying education landscape and diverse needs of schools across the USA and Canada. In this role they will draw on their ability to engage with, inform and advise schools’ strategic development at a senior level to provide ambassadorial leadership and share good practice across a wide-ranging network.
Day-to-day the role involves working closely with the SSD Latin America to support schools across region in revealing and building Round Square ethos, principles and practices in their school. In addition the SSD coordinates collaborative initiatives between schools and works with colleagues based in Round Square’s Worldwide Office in the UK to facilitate engagement in, and hosting of, programmes such as virtual and physical student exchange and conferences, RS Postcards, Language Labs, Service Projects and more.
The Schools’ Support Director reports directly to the RS Chief Executive as a member of the Round Square Worldwide Management Team, and is envisaged as a full-time appointment, self-employed or seconded from a school, on a three-year contract, with potential to renew.
