Lead great shops. Support great people. Make a real difference.

At Brandon, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a life that is meaningful to them.

Our charity shops play a vital role in raising funds to support our work while creating employment, training and volunteering opportunities for people with learning disabilities.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Cluster Manager to lead a cluster of charity shops across Devon and Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines commercial expertise with a passion for people, community engagement and inclusion.

About the role

As our Retail Cluster Manager, you'll lead and develop a group of charity shops, supporting Shop Managers to deliver strong commercial performance, excellent customer experiences and safe, inclusive environments. You'll be responsible for driving sales, developing people, maintaining high standards and identifying opportunities for future growth.

You'll work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers and local communities to maximise income, strengthen Brandon's retail presence and support opportunities for people with learning disabilities. You'll also play a key role in supporting the development and growth of the retail cluster, including identifying opportunities for new shops within the area.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading and supporting a cluster of charity shops across Devon and Cornwall.
  • Driving sales and income growth through effective retail practices, pricing, merchandising, stock management and promotions.
  • Monitoring performance against KPIs and taking action to improve results where required.
  • Coaching and developing Shop Managers, staff and volunteers to achieve consistent performance and standards.
  • Supporting employment, training and volunteering opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and high visual merchandising standards across all shops.
  • Maintaining compliance with health and safety, safeguarding and operational procedures.
  • Building local partnerships and community relationships to increase awareness of Brandon and support income growth.
  • Supporting new shop openings, refurbishments and improvement projects.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience managing multiple retail sites, stores or teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a track record of delivering results.
  • A good knowledge of charity retail, including current trends, opportunities and challenges within the sector.
  • A good understanding of the Devon and Cornwall area and the ability to identify opportunities for growth and future shop development.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
  • Confidence using data and performance information to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering operational improvements.
  • A commitment to inclusion and creating opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
  • A full driving licence and the ability to travel regularly throughout Devon and Cornwall, with occasional travel to other Brandon locations as required.

Why join Brandon?

At Brandon, you'll be part of an organisation that puts people at the heart of what we do. You'll have the opportunity to use your retail experience to grow successful shops while helping to create meaningful opportunities for people with learning disabilities.

You'll join a supportive and values-led organisation where your ideas, leadership and contribution can make a real difference.
