The Vacancy
Recovery isn’t a single moment - it’s a journey that takes time, trust and the right support at every stage. At Arrows, we’re looking for someone who can walk alongside people through that journey, helping them access residential rehabilitation and, most importantly, rebuild their lives beyond it.
Your new opportunity
Arrows is a well-established, values-led service delivering trauma-informed, person-centred support for individuals affected by substance use.
We work in partnership with housing, health, social work and national recovery networks to provide a fully joined-up pathway into—and out of—residential rehabilitation.
We are looking for a Residential Rehabilitation Link Worker to join the team, supporting adults affected by problematic substance use to access and sustain recovery through residential rehabilitation.
This is a high-impact, relationship-focused role where you will support individuals throughout their full recovery journey — from initial referral and preparation, through residential placement, to successful reintegration into the community.
What You’ll Do
As a Rehabilitation Link Worker, you will:
- Act as a named key worker, providing consistent, person-centred support
- Support individuals to prepare for, access and successfully complete residential rehabilitation
- Deliver holistic support across housing, health, emotional wellbeing and social needs
- Work closely with partners including housing, health and social work to ensure joined-up support
- Provide structured aftercare and relapse prevention planning
- Enable access to peer networks, recovery communities and volunteering opportunities
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Driven and committed to supporting people to achieve long-term recovery
- Experienced in delivering person-centred, trauma-informed support
- Skilled in building trusted relationships and motivating others
- Confident working in partnership with a range of agencies
- Flexible and able to work across community, office and remote settings
👉 Essential:
- Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes (due to travel across the service area)

Working Pattern & Flexibility
- 39 hours per week
- Mix of weekdays and some evening work to support engagement and recovery activity
- Flexible working arrangements may be considered
- Combination of office-based, community and remote working
