At the Chair of Managerial Economics (Prof. Dr. Kai Barron) at ESCP Business School,
Campus Berlin, a position is to be filled starting September 1, 2026.

Research Assistant (all genders) – PhD Programme
75% of the regular weekly working hours | initially limited for 3 years

Responsibilities:
• Research: You will work closely with Prof. Dr. Kai Barron on research related to behavioral
economics (e.g., beliefs, narratives, mental models, inequality, gender gaps). The research is
expected to be published in leading journals.

• Service to the chair/school: You will participate in activities aimed at raising the profile of the

chair and ESCP Business School.

Requirements
• Completed or are about to complete a master‘s degree in economics, finance, management,

or data science with outstanding performance.

• Some experience in statistical programming (for example, MATLAB, Python, R, or Stata).
•
Interest in research and academic work, especially experimental or behavioral economics.
• Very good English language skills.
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
