The Salvation Army in Carmarthen which works to meet the needs of the local community and to raise funds for the work of the corps are looking to appoint a Relief Charity Shop Manager who will ensure the safe and effective management of the shop and will work to further the mission of The Salvation Army.
Key Responsibilities:
To supervise the activities of Charity Shop Assistants and volunteers when other managers are on holiday to ensure the shop delivers both its sales and missional objectives. The successful applicant may also have management responsibility for a specific product category or department.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrable experience of successfully supervising a team
- Experience of successfully achieving sales and delivering excellent customer service in a retail environment
- A good level of English - both spoken and written - and numeracy at GCSE standard or equivalent
- Ability to use electronic point of sales equipment and software such as email, word processing and spreadsheets
- A commitment to the values, aims and ethos of The Salvation Army.
