  • Build strong, trusted relationships with community promoters and venues
  • Support communities to host and enjoy professional arts activity

Further information can be found in the Job Description.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about community‑led arts and understands the value of working closely with local people.

In the role, you will:

  • Support local events and initiatives and work closely with communities
  • Build trusted, positive relationships with community groups, partners and venues
  • Be visible, approachable and engaged, attending events and getting to know people
  • Work independently while collaborating with colleagues, and you’ll bring a strong commitment to equity, access and inclusion, embedding Welsh language, diversity and inclusion, and climate justice into your work wherever possible.

Welsh language

Everyone’s story with the language is different and we recognise that levels of ability and confidence vary from person to person. We are looking for an individual who understands the culture of the country; the varied relationship of the people of Wales with the Welsh language and who is committed to developing innovative use of the Welsh language both linguistically and culturally within the Arts Council and the wider sector. Learning Welsh language skills will be necessary when appointed. We will ensure you receive relevant support to increase or learn Welsh language skills

Our commitment to inclusion

We're looking for fresh perspectives and new voices – whether you're D/deaf, disabled, neurodiverse, from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, from the LGBTQ+ community or have taken unconventional paths to get where you are. Your lived experience matters here.

We are a Disability Confident Employer, committed to interviewing all disabled applicants who meet all essential criteria set out in the person specification.

Please refer to this link for further details.

We’ll support you as you settle into the organisation, even if some things are new to you. During your induction, you can also receive mentoring or training if you need it.

Flexible Working

We want to help staff balance work and life, so we welcome requests for flexible working or job‑share arrangements. We’re also part of the Happy to Talk Flexible Working initiative, which means we’re open to discussing flexibility from the moment you apply.

If you’d like to work different hours from those advertised, please let us know your preferences in your covering email when you apply.
