We’re looking for a Regional Operations Manager to join our management team in the north-east area of England and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of support for people with a learning disability.
About the Role
As a Regional Operations Manager, you’ll take full accountability for the performance, quality, and overall success of services across your region. Using data-driven insights, you’ll ensure services are operating to the highest standard, spotting risks early, taking decisive action, and building a culture where honesty, achievement and continuous improvement thrive.
Your leadership will empower your teams to recognise challenges, act with confidence, and continually strive for excellence. You’ll be central to delivering Mencap’s Big Plan and PS strategy by:
- Championing a proactive, inclusive, and person‑centred culture
- Coaching managers and teams to be confident, independent leaders
- Ensuring the people we support are active, valued members of their communities
- Protecting and growing existing contracts
- Developing plans to maximise occupancy and service impact
- Working alongside Directors and Business Development colleagues to shape exciting new opportunities across the region
What We’re Looking For
You will be a confident communicator, strong decision‑maker, and someone who thrives in a dynamic, multi‑stakeholder environment. You’ll bring:
- Proven ability to influence at all levels
- Excellent planning, leadership and organisational skills
- Finance Management
- Experience in the Health and Social Care sector
- Strong IT and business administration capabilities
- Deep understanding of the rights, needs and lived experiences of people with a learning disability
