In South Oxfordshire, Earth Trust is a charity that shows how nature and people can thrive together in real, working landscapes. Our farm at Wittenham Clumps covers over 530 hectares of the North Wessex Downs National Landscape, including the 69-hectare Little Wittenham SSSI, 178 hectares of permanent grassland, 200 hectares of arable and more than 25km of hedgerows.
With support from the Rothschild Foundation’s Strategic Fund, we’re accelerating our ambition to become a regional demonstration site for regenerative farming by 2029 — a practical, evidence-based model that farmers and landowners can visit to see how regenerative approaches balance profitability with better outcomes for nature.
The Role
We’re looking for a Regenerative Farming Manager to lead this work on the ground. Reporting to the Director of Land Management, you’ll develop and deliver a new livestock model that integrates with our arable system, incorporates woodland grazing and agroforestry, improves soil health and biodiversity — and turns a profit.
The job is genuinely varied. One day you might be taking soil samples and topping a pasture; the next, building the business case for a new farm enterprise. You’ll work with our graziers and farm contractors, explore new produce enterprises to supply our new café and farm shop, and deliver a knowledge-exchange programme of on-farm workshops, walks and events for farmers across the region.
