Through this new and extended contract, which runs for an initial five-year period, we and our specialist partners can build on expertise developed from helping more than 12,000 adult victims of modern slavery and human trafficking since July 2011

Liaising with relevant interested parties to identify safe and appropriate initial, and subsequent, placements in England and Wales and manage all aspects of each referral in line with operational guidance and procedures will be important too. And, when it comes to completing client records and other relevant service documentation, maintain a case management system or providing cover for the Contracts Administrator, again, we’ll rely on you to deliver.

You will need:

  • Experience of receiving and assessing referrals by telephone and face-to-face, with the aid of an interpreter where necessary, with similar client groups in a trauma informed context
  • Empathy with issues that relate to asylum, homelessness, substance misuse, mental health and general vulnerability and an interest in alleviating and supporting the distress caused to victims
  • An understanding of needs based and risk assessments, good administrative skills, proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and a Case Management System or database
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, lots of self-motivation and the ability to work enthusiastically as part of a team
  • A flair for developing and maintaining effective partnership working with sub-contractors, volunteers and other relevant stakeholders
