Recruitment & HR Administrator
Bloxham School is seeking an organised, proactive and detail-focused Recruitment and HR Administrator to join our friendly and dynamic HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle within a thriving independent school community.
This role is central to ensuring our recruitment processes run smoothly and efficiently, while also supporting payroll preparation and wider HR administration. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the school and external partners, helping to attract and retain talented staff while upholding the highest safeguarding standards.
About the Role:
You will provide high-quality administrative support across recruitment, onboarding and HR processes, acting as an important first point of contact for HR queries and supporting the wider HR function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering end-to-end recruitment processes in line with Safer Recruitment and safeguarding guidance.
- Posting vacancies and supporting recruitment campaigns.
- Arranging and supporting interviews, selection days and candidate visits.
- Supporting the new starter onboarding and induction process.
- Liaising with recruitment agencies, job board and platform providers.
- Maintaining records for contractors and non-employees.
- Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries.
- Supporting monthly payroll preparation, including starters, leavers and contract changes.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential HR and payroll data within HR systems.
About the HR Team
The HR Department is a small but highly collaborative team responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, development and wellbeing, as well as managing payroll in-house. The team plays a key role in supporting staff and maintaining the high standards of education and care delivered across the school.
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, approachable and professional, with strong administrative capability and excellent attention to detail.
Essential:
- Educated to A Level (or equivalent).
- Experience working in an administrative role.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and management information systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload and work to high levels of accuracy.
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards).
- Experience using recruitment platforms, social media or job boards.
- Payroll experience.
- Knowledge of iSAMs or MHR iTrent systems.
- Experience working in a school environment.
You will also be calm under pressure, able to work both independently and as part of a team and committed to maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Working Arrangements:
- 30 hours per week, these may be worked flexibly with some weeks flexing up and some down
- On site working
- 34 weeks Term Time plus an additional 6 weeks

Salary:
- £20,623 per annum (full time equivalent of £29,339)
