To facilitate our continued growth, we are looking for an exceptionally organised and highly self-motivated individual to join the Recruitment Team in our People Services department, to support ongoing recruitment activities for internal permanent positions as we continue to grow.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring we attract the best talent and maintain a robust recruitment and onboarding process that underpins the delivery of high-quality services to our customers. 
This role would suit an individual with previous recruitment resourcing experience who thrives on being organised and enjoys working with people.  You'll have proven experience managing shifting priorities, multitasking with ease and maintaining effective diary management, demonstrating flexibility in a fast-paced environment while offering excellent customer service. Our recruitment process is flexible and dynamic, and we expect the role holder to be able to make connections with candidates, ensuring the candidate experience is a positive one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regularly liaise with internal departments to determine staff needs to contribute to a recruitment resourcing plan
  • Proactively lead the recruitment process for all allocated permanent vacancies
  • Responsible for coordinating the recruitment activity associated with multiple roles, working with managers to prioritise and manage expectations across all roles
  • Complete the HR applicant screening process, as required, to determine candidate suitability for each role
  • Arrange interviews and assist with interviews as requested
  • Provide feedback to unsuccessful job applicants in a constructive and professional manner
  • Proactively engage with appropriate external recruitment agencies and job boards to advertise roles and attract applicants
  • Proactively engage with job boards such as LinkedIn to actively source candidates for specific roles
  • Liaise and build positive relationships with external recruitment parties such as Indeed, FAB and others to obtain the maximum benefit from these relationships and subscriptions
  • Actively engage with social media to promote specific job vacancies to attract and source new talent for example industry specific Facebook groups
  • Liaise with the Marketing team and other key people within the Company to gain maximum exposure on social media platforms to aid the recruitment process
  • Ensure a robust screening, interviewing and selection process is in place across the business for internal recruitment. Identify points of failure and identify/support solutions
  • Use internal systems including the PeopleHR applicant tracking system (ATS) to track applicant progress and support on-boarding of staff through liaison with the wider HR team
  • Become an expert in PeopleHR ATS, troubleshoot system problems and support with the development of the ATS usage
  • Coordinate role specific recruitment/assessment days to maximise efficiencies
  • Provide pre-employment and compliance checks, such as Right to Work screening in line with internal policy and relevant legislation/ regulatory requirements
  • Develop in depth knowledge relating to Right to Work checks and the alternative routes for differing categories of applicant. Keep abreast of changes in this area
  • Track data pertaining to recruitment activity e.g. time/cost per hire
  • Produce periodic reports relating to recruitment activity as required by People Services Manager, Leadership and Executive Teams
  • Maintain current knowledge of the recruitment industry and best practices
  • Conduct annual and periodic benchmarking against comparable external roles and salaries
  • Keep track of costs relating to job advertising and recruitment agencies usage
  • Develop and conduct training for managers relating to recruitment such as interview training, unconscious bias etc
  • Maintain and update SOP’s pertaining to own area of responsibility
  • Support Recruitment Lead and the People Services Team with additional projects as required.

Other Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of Training Qualifications UK internal processes and of the wider educational landscape
  • Maintain excellent in depth knowledge of Training Qualifications UK products and services
  • Manage data: inputting, filing and monitoring
  • Liaise with other departments to facilitate a smooth recruitment journey for all job applicants
  • Work to improve and streamline processes and integrate the outcomes of your own work
  • Undertake other duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business as required.

Essential Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of proven recruitment resourcing experience
  • Experience of using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and/or HR Information System
  • Demonstrable experience of coordination and diary management
  • Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have sound IT skills to support core role functions
  • Have sound judgement and decision-making skills.
