About the role

We're looking for an organised and proactive Recruitment Coordinator to join our Resourcing Team. This role is central to ensuring a smooth and positive journey for new starters from offer through to their first day.

You'll coordinate all aspects of the onboarding process, ensuring compliance requirements are completed accurately and efficiently, while maintaining excellent communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout. You'll also support the recruitment of volunteers through our applicant tracking system, helping to ensure an engaging and professional experience for those wanting to support Sue Ryder's mission.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys administration, thrives on organisation, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees
• Processing and checking compliance documentation
• Issuing employment contracts and managing pre-employment checks
• Requesting and obtaining references
• Liaising regularly with new starters and hiring managers to provide updates
• Managing DBS, occupational health and professional registration checks
• Maintaining accurate onboarding records and reports
• Supporting volunteer recruitment processes and arranging volunteer taster sessions
• Providing administrative support to the wider Resourcing Team during busy periods

About you

You'll be highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about delivering an outstanding candidate experience. You'll enjoy building relationships, managing multiple priorities and working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.

Minimum essential criteria

• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Confidence working with systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications

Desirable criteria
• Previous experience working within recruitment, onboarding, HR or people administration
• Experience managing compliance or pre-employment checking processes
• Experience working within a fast-paced administrative environment
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems or recruitment platforms
